Meet the Providers
Dr Magdalen Gondor
Dr. Magdalen Gondor received her medical diploma from The American University of the Caribbean in 1988.  She completed her pediatric residency at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY. It was in Syracuse where she realized her love for patients with asthma and pulmonary conditions. She then fulfilled her sub-specialty training in pediatric pulmonology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, PA.
During her sub-specialty studies, Dr. Gondor had the opportunity to train with leaders in the field of Cystic Fibrosis including Dr. David Orenstein and Dr. Joseph Pilewski. She then moved to Florida where she practiced pediatric pulmonology for 18 years at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. She took over as the Cystic Fibrosis Center Director in 2004 and held that position until 2016.
Dr. Gondor’s experience in diagnosis and management of a wide range of pediatric disorders and specific expertise in the areas of Cystic Fibrosis care, Sleep Medicine, Asthma care. She also took part in the Infant Pulmonary Clinic which provides care to premature infants that have graduated from the NICU.
Dr. Gondor is now the pulmonogist in our Daytona Beach and Orange City offices and has earned consultative privileges at Halifax Hospital.

Studies
Dr. Gondor was the principal investigator for Cystic Fibrosis-related multi-center clinical studies.

Expertise
Her areas of expertise include cystic fibrosis, asthma and allergic disorders affecting the pulmonary system, newborn respiratory diseases, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, sleep disorders such as apnea, chronic cough, anomalies of the airway and respiratory infections in the immunocompromised host.  
Dr. Gondor often volunteers her time making presentations at educational and patient outreach programs.  Although born in the United States, she is fluent in Hungarian
