Bonnye “Beth” Albert

I am a pediatric nurse practitioner with Children’s Lung, Asthma, and Sleep Specialists.

“Beth loves children, and loves taking care of them. Whenever she is in clinic, you can tell her rooms from the laughter that comes from them as she bonds with parent and child. Her approach to caring involves getting to know her patient and their families as individuals first and not as sick people. She bonds very closely with her patients and a deep trust is quickly developed as they know she will respond to their needs unfailingly at any hour of the day. She is meticulous and always wants to learn, and when the opportunity to learn presents itself, she takes to it with infectious optimism”.-Dr Ajayi

In her own words:
I take pride in caring for the children in our practice. I always put their needs first. I believe that providing family centered care is essential for positive patient outcomes. As a bit of a fitness buff, I incorporate nutrition, exercise, education and coping skills into my evaluation of the patients to ensure the best care is provided. I enjoy educating patients on how to do deep breathing exercise techniques to improve lung functions, providing dietary guidelines to help patient make healthy choices, and celebrating patient successes. I enjoy listening to their efforts and accomplishments.
Having a sick child at home can be scary for parents, so I am happy to see children who are ill, often the same day in order to provide anticipatory guidance and treatment if appropriate.
I pride myself in being available to our patients. I encourage families to sign up for our patient portal so that they can reach me and I check the portal often and try to respond quickly even in the evening and on weekends when able. I am a firm believer that there are “no stupid questions” and I encourage parents and patients to ask questions all of the time. I am described by my coworkers as inspirational, compassionate, and approachable, among many other qualities. I am known to place the child’s wellbeing first; I always treat the whole person, whether it involves communicating with patients via the portal or making availability for sick visits to come in.
I am happily married and enjoy traveling, exercising, flying with my husband on the weekends, spending time with family, friends and my Siberian husky, princess Nova.
