Dr. Shivani Verma is a board certified pediatric pulmonologist who has been with the practice for almost 10 years. She has been a valued team member and has developed a significant patient following in Winter Park and Kissimmee locations.
She received her pediatric training in New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, where she built a solid foundation for general pediatrics. Due to her hard work and excellent work ethic she was offered a leadership position of Chief resident of the year, which she passed up to pursue more specialized training in Pediatric Pulmonology. She accepted a position at SUNY Downstate, Brooklyn, New York where she was exposed to significant pulmonary pathology. She was involved in educational activities teaching residents and fellows. She was also conducting clinical research activities studying the markers for airway inflammation and the perception of symptoms in chronic asthma.
She treats a variety of pulmonary diseases, including chronic asthma, pneumonia, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, chronic respiratory failure, and various sleep disorders.

She is happily married with two children, a daughter and a son. She is active in the community while trying to strike work life balance. She is fluent in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Punjabi, and has years of formal instruction in Spanish and French. She is trained in Indian classical dance, continues to learn and participates in cultural performances.
